Volunteer Opportunities

Get Involved YOUR Community Needs You!

Feeling isolated? Wanting to reach out and find a community that gathers to help each other? Want to see good people helping each other? BE the change you want to see in the world! It takes a lot to run a church facility, regular services, and all the programs and volunteer work we do. Many of our members could really use a helping hand. We need you! Read this extensive list of ways you can help. We'll soon post contact info on how to get connected with each opportunity.

Living Earth Center Caretakers

We are looking for volunteers to help with a thorough cleaning and maintaining Living Earth Center on a weekly or twice-monthly basis, depending on how many volunteers are available. There will be a sign-up list posted soon at the Center for those who would like to help with these things like dusting, organization, cleaning windows, and more.

Event Hosts/Hostesses

Volunteers are needed at each drum circle or other fundraiser events to collect donations or admission (depending on the event), welcome people as they arrive, and handle any refreshments. If you'd like to do any of these, please indicate in your RSVP using our meetup.com/livingearth event posting.

Ceremony Leaders and Assistants

Full Moons: Some of our rituals allow opportunities for anyone to help plan and lead. Watch the calendar at meetup.com/livingearth for details. Each meetup posting for those rituals will include instructions about when and where to arrive, usually 1-2 hour before the ritual and we use a collaborative planning process.

If you'd like to regularly lead ritual at Living Earth and out in the community, consider taking our classes and becoming an Initiate. All initiates have the opportunity to help lead rituals.

Random Acts of Kindness: Helping Other Community Members In Need

Sometimes it's fairly rarely and sometimes it's multiple times per week. But on these occasions we need to rally the troops and find help for someone who needs it.  It could be that someone is in the hospital, someone experiences a tragedy or loss, or experiences a dire financial situation. Perhaps someone just needs a phone call, email, or prayer. It could be something wonderful too, like a family having a new baby and they could use a few meals and help around the house while they settle in. Haven't we all been in a position of needing a helping hand or listening ear? If you want to be a part of coordinating this or being "on call" on an as-needed basis for Random Acts of Kindness.

Supporting Other Community Organizations and Resources

The Hand to Hand Project is an intra-faith Pagan community service project in the Denver Metro area sponsored, supported and conducted by multiple Traditions, organizations and individuals. We assist our community's elders and those with disabiities with basic home repairs that do not require a permit, yard work, and cleaning. It is sponsored by Living Earth and many Living Earth members are volunteers. See www.hand2handproject.org for information on volunteering or receiving services from the group.

Hand to Hand Project Food Bank
Non-perishable food is collected at all Living Earth events and distributed to those who reach out for assistance.  More information will be coming soon on our next pantry pickup dates and how to enroll as a recipient. See the Hand2HandProject.org website for more information.
